About Nazimudeen Saleem
Nazimudeen Saleem is an academic and author with 25 years of experience in university teaching and consulting. His international experience extends to six different countries, including the USA, France, Italy and Turkey. Saleem is the author of the books ‘Sovereign Debt Crisis and Economic Sustainability’, ‘Global Economic and Public Policy Framework’, and ‘MOOCs in Higher Education: DIY Degrees and Diplomas’. Saleem’s latest publications are ‘Brand Loyalty and Customer Retention Strategy’ and ‘Managing Your Personal Affairs and Responsibilities’. His recent professional experiences include Education Management in the UK HE sector as well as Business Development. Saleem is a fully elected member of the UK Chartered Institute of Marketing.
As an academic, he has spent for over twenty years teaching business and management related courses as well as tourism and hospitality management courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in more than three countries, including the UK. His consultancy and management experiences stretch to corporate strategy, public and economic policy, local economic development, tourism development and hospitality management, and destination marketing.
Saleem holds a Masters’ degree in urban affairs and public policy from Virginia Tech and an M Phil from School of Planning, Oxford Brookes. He is a qualified Marketing professional with a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the CIM. He also holds an MBA in international hotel administration from Cornell University and ESSEC, France. His first degree in economics and business studies is from University of Charleston, West Virginia, USA.
The Global Economic and Public Policy Institute (The GEPPI)
This is an entity in formation. After publishing the first book ‘Global Economic and Public Policy Framework’, Saleem conceived the idea of an institute to further develop and promote the innovative policy propositions and concepts that were presented in the book. The GEPPI is still in its infancy seeking supporters and contributions in order to prepare for a take-off. The GEPPI is to be located in London but intends to operate actively globally. Membership is open to any interested individuals in the field of global economic and public policy arena but the scope is limited to the presented areas in the book (see below).
